Green Chilli
A green chilli is the unripe version of the chilli pepper (Capsicum annuum or Capsicum frutescens, among others). These slender, bright green pods are harvested before they ripen to red or yellow, and are prized for their sharp heat, vibrant flavor, and fresh crunch.
They’re a staple in many cuisines—especially in Indian, Thai, Mexican, and Southeast Asian dishes—adding both heat and depth of flavor.

Onion
The onion (Allium cepa) is a bulb vegetable and a member of the Allium family, which also includes garlic, leeks, shallots, and chives. It’s known for its pungent aroma, sharp taste, and the unfortunate side effect of making you cry when chopped (thanks, sulfur compounds!).
Onions grow underground as bulbs, which are essentially modified stems for storing nutrients. Above ground, they sprout green stalks, which are also edible and similar to green onions or scallions.

Banana
A banana is an elongated, edible fruit produced by several kinds of large herbaceous flowering plants in the genus Musa. Though often referred to as a “tree,” the banana plant is actually a giant herb, and the “trunk” is made of tightly packed leaf bases rather than true woody tissue.
Bananas grow in clusters, called “hands,” on large, upright stalks known as pseudostems. The individual fruits are often curved and have a smooth, easily peelable skin, typically yellow when ripe, though some varieties are red, green, or even blue.
